The story of a little dream, Κarim
K arim was outside a low, earthen house and he was playing football. It was very hot and all the children were naked above the waist. They only wore a white turban on the head in order to protect themselves from the sun which was burning. A little further away, their mothers were washing the clothes near the river, paying attention to the younger children who were playing in the mud.
All of a sudden, there was a cloud of dust, like a tornado. A jeep parked in front of them. Some men in uniforms got off hurriedly and yelling. The women were scared. What is the colour of children’s dreams? What do they dream of when they close their eyes at night? Do they see dreams at times of crisis? Those that came from other countries, chased by war or hunger, do they also have the right to dream just as the children of the rest of the world?
